Elevator Pitch

Dr.  Okutsu? wow its an honor to finally meet you. I must say I love your studies on space travel to mars and the design of the ships that would be launched. My favorite part of your argument is the usage of the solar electric propulsion systems on board the space crafts I agree that they would be the best fit for the long trek into deep-space because of the efficiently and the reduction of weight that comes from the usage of these new propulsion systems. I also found your ideas of gravity assisted trajectory, to create a slingshot like effect that would reduce the energy consumption of the ship leading to smaller costs in the production of the spacecraft. I would love if we could one day sit down and discuss future plans and idea into deep-space travel, I feel it could be beneficial for both of us to share ideas and concepts, which in return could lead to more advancements in space travel.

English 15 Joseph Natale October 15, 2018 Zack De Piero The field and topic i chose to talk about is aerospace engineering and focusing mainly on the cost of space travel to foreign planets, Is deep-space travel possible? And how the ships propulsion systems will help them travel long distances efficiently? With technological advances everyday it seems to many that some day man will have sustainable life on foreign planets. This leads us into challenging out engineers and scientists everyday to a ship that can travel such a distance. For example, designing a deep-space ship requires systems in which will keep the crew members alive and healthy for the long trek through space, like a recycling oxygen system. Another key attribute to the long travel is how can the ship get them to their destination as efficiently as possible, this pushes engineers to push the limits of antigravity propulsion systems more than they ever had before. After extensively researching through deep space
